History
In 2016, the firm was launched by a group of financial professionals that departed J.P. Morgan and quickly became a unique platform of investments and services.
Commencing with traditional liquid portfolios as its initial offering, Manhattan West evolved its service platform by adding Insurance, Business Management and Tax Services to provide a more comprehensive suite of services for clients. With the goal of instituting a one stop solution, the firm is deeply engaged with the day to day financial affairs of its valued clients.
Manhattan West hired experienced professionals across its Alternatives platform and began to assemble proprietary offerings for clients seeking more transparency, access and rigor. Today, the firm offers unique access to alternative investments in real estate, venture capital, private equity and private debt.
Founder
Lorenzo Esparza is the Chief Executive Officer and Founding Principal of Manhattan West where he leveraged his legal, corporate and financial experience to form the modern version of an investment firm.
Mr. Esparza manages the firm’s strategic direction while overseeing day to day operations. He is focused on building the Firm using a top down approach to working with clients across a broad suite of services and investment categories.
Focused on building a culture of excellence and inclusion, Mr. Esparza seeks to retain only the most qualified candidates with outstanding academic pedigrees from prestigious universities whose professional experience and high character make them ideal partners.
A respected investor, Mr. Esparza chairs the Investment Committee where he takes a hands on approach to identify and approve liquid portfolios and alternative investments across a broad set of asset classes.
