Prior to joining Manhattan West, Mr. Funk worked in Mergers and Acquisitions at Wasserman Media Group, a global leader in sports, entertainment, media, and consumer. In addition to his work in M&A at Wasserman, Mr. Funk was one of the first pioneers who helped found Wasserman Ventures, an investment fund allocating capital to early-stage businesses. Before joining Wasserman, Mr. Funk worked as an investment banker at Credit Suisse, where he specialized in leverage finance, covering financial sponsors and real estate and gaming transactions. During his time at Credit Suisse, he underwrote +$5 billion worth of financing for private equity firms pursuing leverage buyouts in sports, gaming, technology, healthcare, and consumer related businesses.

Mr. Funk graduated from The Wharton School, at the University of Pennsylvania with a double concentration in Finance and Management. During his time at the University of Pennsylvania, he competed on the Men’s Varsity Tennis Team, where he helped push his team to an ECAC championship as well as a Top 25 NCAA Division I program ranking. Born and raised in Florida, Mr. Funk enjoys spending time at the beach and can be found cheering on any Philadelphia sports team.
