Investor Relations – Private Equity
Jim McCoy is a member of the Private Equity Group where he serves as an Executive Director of Investor Relations. He is responsible for developing and growing partnerships with current and prospective investors. Representing Manhattan West in the private equity investment community, Mr. McCoy has a particular focus on building strategic relationships with affluent individuals, family offices and wealth management partners.
Mr. McCoy began his career at J.P. Morgan in the Institutional Equity Sales group. He worked closely with traditional and alternative investment firms where he provided research and capital markets expertise. Following his tenure with J.P. Morgan, he Co-Founded an alternative investment firm where he successfully guided the firm and its investors through the perils of the 2008 Financial Crisis. Next, he held senior level positions with several alternative investment firms focused on business development. His large variety of clients and partners, included affluent individuals, wealth managers, family offices, endowments, foundations, and institutions.
Mr. McCoy graduated with a double major and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Washington, where he played Football and enjoyed two Rose Bowl Championships and a Co-National Championship. Mr. McCoy currently resides in Hancock Park with his wife and daughter. In his free time, he enjoys reading, teaching financial literacy through Operation Hope, trail running and watching his daughter play beach volleyball.
