A pioneer in the secondary venture market, Kevin has spent almost two decades identifying and executing investments in high-growth private companies. He works closely with institutional investors, high-net-worth individuals, and company shareholders to structure strategic transactions that unlock access to the most exciting private market opportunities while delivering liquidity to shareholders.
Prior to joining Manhattan West, Kevin was a Partner at Manhattan Venture Partners (MVP), where he spent over a decade helping build a leading platform in the secondary market for venture-backed companies. He played a key role in sourcing and executing direct secondary transactions across the tech ecosystem.
Earlier in his career, Kevin served as a Senior Vice President and Head of the Private Company Strategies Group at Wedbush Securities, where he was a pioneer in the secondary venture market—executing some of the earliest secondary investments in companies like Facebook, Twitter, and others.
He also spent more than 10 years as a position trader for Wedbush’s Institutional Equities group, advising clients and trading the firm’s capital with a focus on the technology, media, and consumer sectors.
Kevin began his career as an analyst at Merrill Lynch’s Capital Management Group, which provided portfolio management services to central banks and sovereign wealth funds.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis and has passed the FINRA Series 7, 63, 65, and 55 exams.
Originally from New Jersey, Kevin Cohen lives in Manhattan Beach with his wife and two sons. While Kevin enjoys golf, tennis, and traveling, during most of his free time you’ll find him rooting for his two boys on the soccer pitch.
